Configuring Social Accounts

Connecting social accounts to a Dateno account allows you to use them for logging in. The following external services are currently supported:

  • GitHub
  • Google

Operations related to social account configuration are available on the Manage Providers page.

IMPORTANT

The same social account cannot be connected to multiple Dateno accounts.

Loading the Manage Providers Form​

To load the Manage Providers form in your web browser:

  1. Click the Account settings link.

    A list of account maintenance operations will load in the web browser.

  2. Click the Manage social auth providers link.

    The Manage Providers page will load in the web browser.

Connecting a Dateno Account to Google​

To connect a Google account to your Dateno account:

  1. Log into the Google account you want to connect.

  2. Click the Sign in with Google button.

    A page displaying a list of your Google accounts will load in the web browser.

  3. Click the item representing the Google account you want to connect.

    The Manage Providers page will load in the web browser again, and the connected Google account will appear in the list.

Now, you can log into your Dateno account using the Google account you have connected.

Connecting a Dateno Account to GitHub​

To connect a GitHub account to your Dateno account:

  1. Log into the GitHub account you want to connect.

  2. Click the Sign in with GitHub button.

    The Manage Providers page will load in the web browser again, and the connected GitHub account will appear in the list.

Now, you can log into your Dateno account using the GitHub account you have connected.

Disconnecting a Social Account from a Dateno Account​

A social account cannot be disconnected from your Dateno account if it is the only method for logging in. If this is the case, connect another social account to your Dateno account or configure a primary email address. If a password has not been set yet, set a password.

To disconnect a social account from your Dateno account:

  1. Click the Disconnect link next to the name of the account you want to disconnect.

    The account will be disconnected from your Dateno account and removed from the list.
