Data Types

A data type describes the nature of the data provided by datasets.

Data Types in Dateno​

Each dataset belongs to a singular data type.

The search engine automatically assignes data types to datasets. If a subset of datasets is selected, either by entering a full-text query or by choosing options in other facets, the Datatypes facet displays only the data types related to the selected datasets.

Dataset Search Tips​

  • Use the Datatypes facet to exclude datasets that cannot meet your needs based on their nature. For example, choose the geodata option to remove archives, text documents, or tables that do not match your query.
